Recovery
In 2008 I suffered from a serious health problems and my tank received extremely little care. Basically, only the evaporated water was replaced with tap water every two weeks. No food additions, no calcium or alkalinity supplementing, no skimming or other form of filtration… like I said, almost no care at all.
Below is the 6 week progress I made starting from 29.11.2008 when I finally was able to take care of the tank again. I must admit that I was extremely sad at the beginning when I realized how bad the tank had become and how the animals must have suffered during this time. But it was clear to me that this is what I want to do and that no one would probably want animals from a tank such as this so I started to work with the tank.
Unfortunately, just when I got the tank going again it broke! 
So I had to start all over again, moving everything in to a new tank. I am very glad I had the energy and strength to do this as I’m personally still not in a very good shape…
