Motivation

The reason why I created these pages is rather selfish really – I’m currently suffering from a pretty serious health problems and maintaining and updating these pages helps to keep my mind occupied.

I have maintained coral reef aquariums since 1987 and thus it is natural for me to write about them. I would categorize myself as a “serious hobbyists” meaning I try to learn as much as I can about the processes taking place in coral reefs, both in nature and aquarium.

I wont “promote” these pages in any way other than linking some of them where it seems appropriate and the blog postings are most likely not as polished or well researched as some of the other blogs dealing with this great hobby.

So, I’ve had marine aquariums more than 20 years and I’m well known for my grumpiness thus the name of the blog

postscriptum: English is not my first language so you have to excuse me the rather simple phraseology, style and vocabulary I use to express myself. The reason I don’t use my mother tongue is that it’s very tiresome to come up with the right terms when all worth reading is written in english.
