I much prefer aquascapes that are designed with three dimensionality and coral growth patterns in mind. The freshwater guys have it all over us, and for no good reason. We've got much more to work with -- though maybe that's part of the problem. A huge palette with no design consideration is gonna give you one of the current "beautiful" tanks: coral-infested patchwork piles of rock... or worse, endless boring rows of the current psychedelic flavor-of-the-month frags.
